Big fan of the "Active, Later, Someday" approach that you sorta use in your deluge approach. Not sure why you have a "Do this evening" list though? Is that different work then the normal day stuff?
Big fan of a ToBeFiled subfolder in the Inbox. Create inbox tasks, move them to the ToBeFiled when they are completed, or at least when you have a context assigned to them. Which in your view looks like one of your paper page lists. Not a big fan of assigning due dates to anything that doesn't really have one. So you might want to think about adding a "due date" view to your digital page views. To me that is the big advantage of MLO versus paper. Your tasks with real due dates can be in both your "do now" list and your "due date" list. The "due date" list is your "safety net" to make sure you get them in your active list by the time you need to. I don't think you should abandon MLO when you get deluged. I just think you need to incorporate your "deluge" process into MLO. And maybe streamline your normal MLO process. Which seems to me to be NOT trying to assign times to work. Just move the tasks between your context "lists." -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
