Windows software. I also thought you had to have a Pro license for Android
to use Wi-Fi sync, but I could be mistaken. You can, however, use cloud
with the free Android version (but Cloud has a cost).

These days, it's becoming more rare for software to have a one-time fee for
the software and many are going to a "per year" model which drives me
crazy.(One software that we paid for - Keeper for managing passwords - took
away the ability to sync with their Android app from the paid version --
which is what I paid for it for, forcing people to go to a subscription
model if they wanted sync. I'm still angry!)

I do understand that money can be tight, but I also think it's reasonable
for developers to charge for upgrades -- as long as they continue to
support older versions for quite a while afterwards so people only have to
upgrade if they want the new features, not be forced to upgrade for the
previous software to work. (I would strongly encourage the developers to
support MLO 3 syncing with upgraded mobile devices for at least a year
after MLO 4 comes out, since mobile apps update automatically or with less
user control).
