Follow-up Comment #2:
No, the entry widget in the layer dialog contains hackery to disable the
"keyboardmanager" that makes "b" and similar keys toggle the associated
window no matter which window is in focus. For that reason I will do this in
another way (same method as you can see on renaming brushgroups) in good time
before 0.8, possibly this weekend.
I thought I mentioned this on IRC...
This should *NOT* happen anywhere else, so please let us know if it does.
