Follow-up Comment #3, bug #15136 (project mypaint):
One way I imagine brushmodes to work is that it would clone part of the
composited image into the current layer and eg. brighten it.
I know that everyone prefers layer modes. But I say this is because in other
applications, layer modes are the only way to affect whole image at once,
while brush modes only affect the current layer. I would like to try
different in MyPaint.
(I had a short discussion about that with Deevad, I thought it was in that
forum thread but it isn't...)
