Follow-up Comment #1, bug #15974 (project mypaint):
It was done like that intentional.
I don't remember how fullscreen looks in Windows, but on Linux there might be
nothing on the screen but white canvas; I thought it would be more friendly to
always see some GUI after starting MyPaint. Other opinions?
