Details:
The list of layers in the Layers tool do not respect the user's choice of
styles and colours when they appear initially. On my system, the currently
selected layer is given a blandish shade of medium blue for its background
even when I use a theme with an orange base colour for the selected state. I
think I'm getting the standard GTK selected base colour.
When either a button which has an effect on the number of layers (or their
ordering?), or the visibility toggle, or the locked toggle is clicked, the
colours become what I expect and stay that way.
Curiously the situation doesn't change when I rename a layer even though a
redraw must be happening somewhere.
This is internally inconsistent, and makes MyPaint look different from the
user's GTK theme on startup.
