Follow-up Comment #1, bug #18548 (project mypaint):
Hi there - which colour picker tool is this? We have quite a few, and some of
them average over a small area, so you might be including a bit of the
background accidentally. Can you detail exactly which dropper or keypress
you're using please? I can't reproduce it here :/
(Do you always get an anticlockwise offset on the colour wheel? Including
from purple-red to orange-red? About how many degrees is it?)
I'd love to know if this still happens with the "experimental/pixelblocking"
brush turned up to a huge radius with full opacity. Testing that will help
rule out slight transparencies. FYI the averaging radius, if there is one, is
a 3x3 square in more recent mypaint versions, so you might not have to use too
huge a brush.
If you want precision, you may have a better experience with Pick Context
("W"), which really does pick what you drew (admittedly along with the brush
you used). Those are stored as proper HSV triples in the strokemap, which is
much less clumsy for colour management than fumbling around with RGB pixel
values.
