Follow-up Comment #19, bug #18834 (project mypaint):
Well, whenever I'll find some spare time, I'll definitely look into porting
to another windowing platform, probably QT, as it is cross platform and looks
stable and popular enough. While 10k lines seem a lot to rewrite, I think that
actually it won't be that much work in most of the cases, just some tricky
ones here and there.
My goal will be to also make the GUI independent of the windowing system
used, if that is possible, by specifying some clear interfaces between GUI and
the underlying windowing system.
I won't promise anything quick, but whenever I'll have something workable
I'll let you know.
