Ok, I've been at this for about two weeks now. I've made some progress (got video-in to the tv-out on the 350 working last night), but I've got some pressing issues/questions: 1) Do I have to have X enabled over the TV-out for Myth to work? My assumption is that I can run my combo be/fe server headless and configure it using PuTTY and VNC and that Myth will can handle all output over the tv-out. 2) The PVR-350 remote (newer style with grey top/black bottom) and IR port are giving me fits. I've already posted about this to the lirc board, but - this setup seems to require lirc-i2c and possibly lirc-dev which I can't seem to find for SuSE 9.2. Anyone? 3) Though I can tune a *few* channels from my analog cable and send to the tv-out, the channels do not match my cable line-up AT ALL. Using ptune, I can clearly tune 11 which comes in as ABC Family. Unfortunately, channel 11 on my analog line-up is ESPN. One other channel will tune (12), but only in black and white. Anyone have any idea what is going on here? 4) I've also got an nVidia 6600 GT card in this box. I've considered using the tv-out on that instead but I'm not sure that that gets me anything (and seems to avoid the benefit's provided by the 350 HW decoder). Thoughts? If I wanted to do this, then how? 5) Setting-up Myth: I had an issue while trying to do this using X where the setup screen was larger than my monitor was displaying and I could not always see all of the fields and the fonts on the main page had there bottom flattened. This does not seem to be an issue when run over VNC, somaybe I can ignore, but I'm worried it's indicative of some other issue. Sorry for all the questions. In return for answers I hope to help fill-out the Myth How To for SuSE where I can.
