I'd also like to start from scratch (switch to a different distro), but my old box is still working fine (0.15/FC1). However I don't want to lose all my .nuv files and my old recorded history.
I can move my .nuv files over without a problem. For the database, is anything special I have to do, other than dump the old database and load it on my new distro? Do I need to migrate mysql from 0.15 -> 0.16 -> 0.17, or can I go straight to 0.17? (I'm going to wait for 0.17) Or is it better to install a clean database, and then reload only the tables that hold the [old-]recorded info? - BS
