Just in case; Hey Brad, It just occurred to me that folks might not realize that with this latest generation of nVidia Cards, a new set of TV formats have been implemented as options for the TV Out port on the cards. You may now do stuff like;
Option "TVStandard" "HD480i" or Option "TVStandard" "HD1080i" or any of the other HDTV output formats It is possible that there is some sort of scan converter onboard the card but I don't know tis for a fact. For example, the TVOne box ($250) that I mentioned earlier takes a 1600x1200 signal and creates a 1080i (or whatever) output format.
