I suspect this user, in asking if it supported output from the computer rather
than the composite in, was wondering if the encoder could be used on data 
streams,
ie. send mpeg2 or other data out the USB and the chip transcodes it to mpeg4.

This seems a bit obscure, but for those who have an mpeg-2 card or raw capture
card with mjpeg, and a slow CPU, hardware transcode would be useful.   Hell, 
even
on a fast machine transcode still takes quite a bit of CPU.
