Like many others, I *never* watch live tv any more.  Thus, it wouldn't
bother me if the pvr functionality were to be removed from the live-tv
function, since this seems to be what some die-hard channel surfers
want.  Alternatively, I could imagine having a new "surf live tv"
function that is like "live tv" but doesn't have the pvr
functionality.  In this mode, perhaps hitting the record button would
throw you out of the surf mode and start recording from the current
point on the current channel.

Anyway, this does strike me as very low priority.  On the other hand,
it would be a change/feature that would have minimal impact on most
mythtv users while at the sam time possibly improving the experience
for others...
