After 2 days of research and trial&error, I got my mythtv to run @ 1920x1080 interlace and via DVI to DVI connection. The picture quality is better or the same as my previous US digital hdtv receiver. However, in u.s. digital receiver, I'm not able to record programs. :( That's why I dumped it and moved to mythtv. :)

There is one more that I need to fix. The picture is large that menus at the bottom or at top, left and right side are getting cut. I'm guessing that I am only able to watch 1880x1040. It's centered though. In my U.S. digital receiver, everything is seen.

So is there a way to fit it?

Thanks,

Lots of good info here:
ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/1.0-6629/README.txt
Appendix I and J will be of particulr use
Modelines are a pain though, I recently gave up on trying to get my
DVI to HDMI cable output working on my Panny HDTV and went back to
SVideo output as I could not get a satisfactory modeline other than
720x480 which was not what I was looking for.

Good luck

Robin

Hi Cory,

Yeah, your guess was correct. I connected my 6600 card to HDTV via the DVI
cable.
