0.17 is generally stable.  It has a few bugs, but nothing that really prevents 
usage for the majority of people using it.  Most of the people that have 
trouble installing/using it either aren't bothering to read the instructions 
(ie., you, with your audio problem), or have problems with various drivers 
(ivtv, etc).

If I can use it, I'm happy.  If other people can use myth, that's just a nice 
bonus.  If someone gets frustrated trying to install it and wants to use 
something else - great, more power to them.
