The tone of this thread seems to imply that MythTV is a post-version 1.0 of a commercial product, that the non-contributers/developers on this forum are doing more than using up bandwidth, and that because Isaac et al have designed and written this product that they are somehow obligated listen to and obey our incessant natterings.

Well, its not, we don't and they arent.  

The people that make MythTV get to decide who their target audience is and what they will and won't do to support that audience.  Its their work, their project and their right.  No matter how much we parasites on their underbellies really, really really want otherwise.  

I don't know Isaac.  Maybe threads like this bemuse him.  I hope so.  Because if they annoy him and this continues, then he might pack up his goodies or kick us to the curb.
