DearMzmine developers

My name is Federico Padilla, and I am a masters’ student at university of
Sao Paulo, Brazil. Right now in our research team (AsterBioChem -
http://www.asterbiochem.org/) we are working in the field of Metabolomics
(using a UHPLC-UV-MS Orbitrap, Exactive Plus Thermo Fisher) and the
software Mzmine 2.10, which we find an amazing tool, essential in any
metabolomic research.

I am writing to you, because we are having a problem (described below)
treating large amounts of data in your software, using the following
parameters:

1. Mzmine version 64-bit

2. Java version 7 update 45

3.

I changed the Heap size =%total_memory% from 1024 to 512MB in order to
increase the JVM memory

ADDRESS_WIDTH=%%x if %ADDRESS_WIDTH%==32 (set HEAP_SIZE=4096)

I am analyzing about 150 plant extracts that after being transformed into
mzXML format add up to 10 GB of information, and when I get to the step of
Chromatogram builder the software crash, may be because the JVM memory gets
full (I am working on a computer with 8G of memory RAM and a 4 cores
processing unit of 2,3GHz ) based on that I tried to increase the JVM
memory by editing the opening link of Mzmine (it had a JVM memory of 4G and
I increased to 10G). However, the system is still not working. I would like
to know what else can I do to be able to process that information? Is there
any way I can do it in my computer?

I would really appreciate any possible suggestion of how to proceed

If you need any additional information about Mzmine working parameters or
any other, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,
