Shannon, I have taken B complexes before, but I never got the results. You would have to ask your doctor about the switch. Unless of course you can just put them side by side and the "doctors choice" has more B vitamins. I do not know why you had the gastric bypass. B vitamins do not cause acne. When your body is trying to detox you will get acne. These vtiamins have a detox quality in them. One of my favorite things about them is it makes you "regular". You are suppose to eliminate waste after each meal. When you are able to do this, you do lose bulge/weight in your stomach. Death begins in your colon! I felt great when I was taking them, but now that I been out for so long, I feel like crap again, including all the gassy pains and irregularities. I can help you with body acne, but not face acne. Which do you have? Not on trial for the vitamin. I took a complete month worth, ran out and was unable to order until yesterday. I didn't notice any weight lose, except my pants were looser. I contribute that to two things, 1 because you have to eat 3 times a day, 2 because you rid yourself of it by eliminating. The more often you eat, your metabolism increases. If you were to trick your metabolism by eating 8 times a day, small things, it would increase even more, and your energy level would probably double. I have not seen these in stores yet.
