Hi Barb I am so sorry to read I was hoping for better news to read from you.
The first thing I would think to do was take some blood how could you know
anything without that ??? You should go to the E.R and get your blood drawn
immeadiatly !! How the heck are you going to get through another nite like this
??? I ended up in the E.R because a young lady tried to draw mine at the dr
office I was so dehydrated she could'nt get any so she says oh go home and rest
come back tomroww we'll try again so like an ass i went home my mind was fried
by this time anyways the next day I ended up at the E.R she made a big mistake
had they taken  the blood they would have known immeadiatly that I had a kidney
infection. So people can make mistakes . To me the blood will tell you whats up
I don't understand why they would give you anything without a blood draw first
??? I hope you figure this out . Please go to the E.R if you don't feel better
.  People go for a scratch
for gods skae don't hesitate !!! Jennifer

Tanis, well i went this morning and they can't find anything.  They tested my
urine and said it looks clean but they will still grow it to see.  They also
did a pelvic and they took cultures but i was negative for yeast.  They said
they will grow the others to see since they said it could be a bacterial
vaginitis but he didnt seem to think it would show up anything.  He didnt feel
an ultrasound was necessary but i plan to call my own doctor (who is a woman)
and see if she would be willing to do it if i am not better (if i can stand it
that long)He tried to suggest that it might be that i am having bladder
prolapse due to my age (i am 54) but why would that come on suddenly right
after having a UT infection?  Doesnt make sense to me.  I think he should have
drawn blood too but to be honest i didnt really like the guy so i just plan to
call my own doctor like i said. I do wonder if maybe i irritated my bladder,
uretha or whatever because i was
drinking so much fluids and then holding it because i wasnt sure if i had to
go or not.  Is that possible?  Since i dont have a UT infection anymore should
i go off the cranberry pills too? I think i will stop and pick up gatorade too
as you suggested as well.   I will DO ANYTHING I CAN to make this stop!!!!
Thank you.

Hey Barb, no problem! No one can LOOK at your urine and say to stop meds- wow
that is a little scary! Your urine needs to be tested. Certanly coour smell and
clarity are part of the observation process but  cannot and do not replace a
urinalysis which should have been done (I am hoping they did it and told you it
looked better)  You should be able to get the US for Pelvic (thatt does not
include kidneys or a K.U.B. That does include kidneys. 8 oz per hour is plenty
of fluid do not drink more than that.  Make sure you are getting a little salt
in there to as you are leeching your body's electrolytes down while increase
the water intake. Maybe a gator ade or two in with that wwater would be a good
idea. Cranberry won't harm anything and has a good homeopathic history so keep
on with them but don't put off the doctor or the US either. Let us know how you
are doing. Take care,Tanis----- Original Message -----From: Barb

Thank you for the advice Tanis.  I plan to call my doctor again tomorrow if i
am not better and i will ask her about the ultrasound.  Its very apparent we
have to be our own advocates and believe me i have been on the internet all day
looking for answers.  Its kind of scary too though because some women have
suffered with this for months and i dont think i could live like that .  I did
download a PDF book that claims they can get rid of a UT within 12 hours with
natural remedies and i was so desparte i ordered it.  Still no relief.  I also
tried drinking baking soda because i was told to do that by my doctor and no
relief.  Also since you indicated you do this for a living -when i went to
urgent care they told me to stop my 2nd set of antibiotics even though i had
only been on them 2 days out of 5 because he said my "urine looked better"and
instead told me to try a pill for a yeast infection instead.  So far that has
helped either and its been 24
hours for that as well.  I did go out and buy cranberry capsules and have been
taking them too.  Anything else you can suggest.  I so    need an answer and
just hope i wake up tomorrow feeling a whole lot better. Thanks again for your
suggestion.  I appreciate it more then you know!    Barb [email protected]
