Barb,
I am glad you downsized the water- sometimes TOO much water can bring on UTIs
as well - so glad your feeling a lil better!

Tanis, here is a special thank you to you. I really believe that i was
trying to drink too much because once i wasnt so obsessed about it it got
better. I guess i should have figured it out when i felt better on the plane
and wasn't drinkingi hardly anything. I also started drinking gatorade too so
thank you. I just hope that it is over with. Every time i feel like i have to
go i am afraid i am going to go and it is going to be back. Now i just have to
get over the guilt of ruining our vacation. My husband isnt even talking to
me. I guess i can't hardly blame him. We needed this vacation for us. Such
is life i guess.

  Thanks again!!!!!

  HUGS

Hey Barb, no problem! No one can LOOK at your urine and say to stop meds-
wow that is a little scary! Your urine needs to be tested. Certanly coour smell
and clarity are part of the observation process but cannot and do not replace
a urinalysis which should have been done (I am hoping they did it and told you
it looked better) You should be able to get the US for Pelvic (thatt does not
include kidneys or a K.U.B. That does include kidneys.
8 oz per hour is plenty of fluid do not drink more than that. Make sure
you are getting a little salt in there to as you are leeching your body's
electrolytes down while increase the water intake. Maybe a gator ade or two in
with that wwater would be a good idea.

Cranberry won't harm anything and has a good homeopathic history so keep on
with them but don't put off the doctor or the US either.

Let us know how you are doing.

    Take care,
    Tanis

Thank you for the advice Tanis. I plan to call my doctor again tomorrow
if i am not better and i will ask her about the ultrasound. Its very apparent
we have to be our own advocates and believe me i have been on the internet all
day looking for answers. Its kind of scary too though because some women have
suffered with this for months and i dont think i could live like that . I did
download a PDF book that claims they can get rid of a UT within 12 hours with
natural remedies and i was so desparte i ordered it. Still no relief. I also
tried drinking baking soda because i was told to do that by my doctor and no
relief. Also since you indicated you do this for a living -when i went to
urgent care they told me to stop my 2nd set of antibiotics even though i had
only been on them 2 days out of 5 because he said my "urine looked better"and
instead told me to try a pill for a yeast infection instead. So far that has
helped either and its been 24 hours for that as well. I did go out and buy
cranberry capsules and have been taking them too. Anything else you can
suggest. I so need an answer and just hope i wake up tomorrow feeling a
whole lot better.
Thanks again for your suggestion. I appreciate it more then you know!

Pls go to the doctor and get a Pelvic/ transvag ultrasound as not everything
can be diagnosed with a blood/urine test. UTIs frequently present themselves
with similar symptoms as you describe but given the fact that you have not had
any relief with a prescription- it leaves the question...what's going on>?

with a UT infection that they gave me a prescription for but i continuously got
worse instead of better. They changed my medication and i am still not feeling
well even though i went to Urgent care last night and they told me it looked
like it had cleared up. My symptom is that i feel like i have to pee all the
time and at night i feel like my bladder is going to explode and no pain pills
they have given me have helped. I thought it could be a yeast infection so they
gave me a pill to take but its still not better.

am not feeling better tomorrow and i will ask her to allow me to have the
ultrasound you suggested. Since you stated that you do this for a living i
think do you think they should have stopped me from continuing my antibiotics
if i still have the symptoms. I started a new med two days ago and when i went
to urgent care they told me i could stop the antibiotics because it was
probably a yeast infection now. They gave me a prescription for that (a one
time pill you take) but i am not any better but realize it hasnt been that long
either. Does this all make sense. I was so desperate to find something that
worked that i purchased a book online that guarantees that they can get rid of
an ut infection in 12 hours with natural remedies. One of them was taking
cranberry capsules so i did go out and buy some and they were by AZO. They also
had vit c and a probiotic in them as well. I was given something by my doctor
that turned my pee bright orange but it did not help at all. They also gave me
pills for a "spastic bladder" but they havent helped either. I keep hoping that
i will wake up tomorrow and this will have gone away. Then i plan to do
everything i can to keep from ever getting one again.

        Thank you!!!!
