because now hubby is on your side, right??

Good luck with your search :-)

well....we went to look at the chair yesterday...over an hour to get
there...found the place...small barber shop in Manhattan.....took me into
the back, next to the bathroom and there was the chair...just stuck
there....(and they wonder why they didn't have "the call for it"?)
anyway....It looked great...almost like new...I filled it up...and pressed
the button and...NOTHING...it didn't work! They didn't speak english well
and the guys there knew nothing about the chair..the lady who had used it a
couple of times was cutting someone's hair...the guys kept pressing the
button down and they were trying to keep it down...which as many of you know
is NOT supposed to stay depressed....it is just a light touch and it goes on
and a light touch and it goes off...well they kept pushing the button...I
told them they were going to break the button but I don't think they
understood..or cared ..what I was saying...Aldo asked if maybe there was
another cord to be plugged in...well they tried to look in the back, but it
was against the wall...and well... what a fiasco! They finally found the
plug..but it still didn't work (jets) they kept playing with the massage
control trying to start the jets! THEEENNNN to top it all off...there is a
metal like "sign" in the front of the chair ..that is glued on by the
manufacturer...with the model name on it...well when someone wiped it down
with a paper towel, a piece of paper towel got stuck in the corner, which
was slightly bent away from the chair...no problem...I flicked the little
piece of paper towel off........and out came running about 5 little baby
roaches!! Oh God I HATE bugs.....now these guys (3 of them) are trying to
start the chair...looking for the plug, pressing the button, etc etc.. and
all I can think is I DO NOT WANT THIS CHAIR IN MY HOUSE...what if I bring
roaches into the house?? So Aldo and I tell them...give us a call when you
get the chair started and we'll talk..ok bye...(not ever happening...BTW!)

In the truck...Aldo looks at me and says," that is the problem with buying
something used from a salon, you don't have a warranty and you don't know
what you're getting"... Is it just me or isn't that WHAT I SAID??? LOL!!!
Came home and HE went online to look for a chair. He said there were
companies selling used chairs last time he looked (I couldn't find any) and
then he came down and started talking about new chairs with me!!

NOW...besides the Lexor....anyone NOT like their chair or the company that
made them???????

was up.They covered the parts under warranty but I had to do the work.

How powerful is the Lexor compared to the jet tubs? They are very
reasonable.

I wouldn't buy a used one! I got the pipeless from lexor! Excellent! Very
reasonable and good quality! My pedis increased a lot when I got my chairs!
Clients just expect it! The pipeless are so easy to clean! I hope this
helps, I know its not the answer your husband wants but I would invest the
money!

Wow it's slow on here lately..only getting like 2-3 posts a day...I miss
y'all! LOL!

ANYWAY... I have a question...

I want to get a pedicure chair...I hate the one I have ..it's not a spa it's
the hydraulic chair on a metal base ..with a footrest. You put a "tub" on
the base to soak. Very uncomfortable for me to work on them also.

I *thought* about going with dry pedis...and I wasn't happy with just that.
For some clients that is good...I like working on calloused heels dry, with
product, because I feel like I get better results. BUT...when working on
some other clients...I felt they needed to soak so I could do their "toe
work" better. (My mom for example...elderly, with knarly toes, thick
etc...) SO....I want a spa chair to be able to soak them AND for my
comfort...and theirs. SO...my question is....would you buy a used chair? My
hubby wants me to buy a used one...I don't want to because my feelings are
that I do not know how the previous owner cleaned it and what's growing in
there. He says I can clean it and disinfect it and start "new".

What are your feelings about this? I can show him your answers...or maybe
you guys will change my mind... He doesn't want me to charge it and I do not
have the cash for one right now. I think I will get more pedis also with a
pedi spa set-up. help!
