Oh I thought u had a different one. Mine isn't a hydraulic chair. I was
thinking you had the one pictured in all the nail magazines. The white one with
the actual hydraulic pump that is attached to a metal base with the foot rest
attached. Not sure why I thought this.
Oh, I would never laugh at you....only with you hun.
How are things going with you??

list...but... I am not comfortable...stool is too high...or they are too low...
and I actually fell off of it cause the wheels shot out from under me...I was
leaning over slightly to get my friend's flip flops...ok STOP laughing now! I
was fine but i think I aggravated my already hurting knee!

Pati,

I use the chair Sally's sells. It costs like $1100 but I found one on Craigs
List for $200 from a salon that remodeled. It is a stylists chairs set up on a
platform and you use one of the foot baths with it. Ohio board recommends them
for sanitation purposes. You can have the customer up on the throne to work on
them dry or wet.

It works for me because I was on a budget but it's not necessarily for
everyone. To me I can still offer the comfort of the nicer pedi spa chairs
without the expense.

Wow it's slow on here lately..only getting like 2-3 posts a day...I miss y'all!
LOL!

ANYWAY...  I have a question...

I want to get a pedicure chair...I hate the one I have ..it's not a spa it's
the hydraulic chair on a metal base ..with a footrest.  You put a "tub" on the
base to soak.  Very uncomfortable for me to work on them also.

I *thought* about going with dry pedis...and I wasn't happy with just that.
For some clients that is good...I like working on calloused heels dry, with
product, because I feel like I get better results.  BUT...when working on some
other clients...I felt they needed to soak so I could do their "toe work"
better.  (My mom  for example...elderly, with knarly toes, thick etc...)
SO....I want a spa chair to be able to soak them AND for my comfort...and
theirs. SO...my question is....would you buy a used chair? My hubby wants me to
buy a used one...I don't want to because my feelings are that I do not know how
the previous owner cleaned it and what's growing in there. He says I can clean
it and disinfect it and start "new".

What are your feelings about this? I can show him your answers...or maybe you
guys will change my mind... He doesn't want me to charge it and I do not have
the cash for one right now.  I think I will get more pedis also with a pedi spa
set-up.  help!
