My first pedicure chair was an European Altera Spa Chair. Loved it except the chrome plate in the whirlpool had to be replaced often at $100.00 (I received 2 free). The rubber strip would come off so no bubbles. The company has changed the chrome plate on the new chairs. If you purchase a new chair the company will stand behind it, verses a used chair. My chair now is from Pedi World its a Lonestar. They have replaced the electrical board and a part that slides the chair back and forth. I love having a throne chair makes life much easier! I do lots of pedicures. My sister has a Lonestar chair for years not one problem with it! Good Luck!

I am getting grossed out! I NEVER had "stuff" coming out of my jets....you're scaring me Simmy! LOl! Actually I just found a chair...in the city ..about 45 minute ride....she wants 750.00 for it...says it is 8 months old and "she never really used it" her business doesn't call for it she said....I think it is a barber shop...in Manhattan. We will either go tomorrow or on sunday to check it out...not sure if I can run it or what...If it is hooked up I will insist, of course....and of course I will have my hubby negotiate with her... :) They just sent me a picture on my phone...it looks nice..black and white..so it will match anything...has arms.. not a solid chair...for us "bigger bottomed" girls. ok I am getting excited... Hey Pati! With products like jetline cleaner by Divina you can totally clean the insides of the chair. I would bring some with me and see what comes out of the jets before I buy it. Wow it's slow on here lately..only getting like 2-3 posts a day...I miss y'all! LOL! ANYWAY... I have a question... I want to get a pedicure chair...I hate the one I have ..it's not a spa it's the hydraulic chair on a metal base ..with a footrest. You put a "tub" on the base to soak. Very uncomfortable for me to work on them also. I *thought* about going with dry pedis...and I wasn't happy with just that. For some clients that is good...I like working on calloused heels dry, with product, because I feel like I get better results. BUT...when working on some other clients...I felt they needed to soak so I could do their "toe work" better. (My mom for example...elderly, with knarly toes, thick etc...) SO....I want a spa chair to be able to soak them AND for my comfort...and theirs. SO...my question is....would you buy a used chair? My hubby wants me to buy a used one...I don't want to because my feelings are that I do not know how the previous owner cleaned it and what's growing in there. He says I can clean it and disinfect it and start "new". What are your feelings about this? I can show him your answers...or maybe you guys will change my mind... He doesn't want me to charge it and I do not have the cash for one right now. I think I will get more pedis also with a pedi spa set-up. help! Pati When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry...
