"Manicure" as defined by Webster, is "cosmetic treatment of the
fingernails". As I learned it, it means "pertaining to the hands".
Celebrities call their enhancements "manicures" all the time, it's
just a regional thing or how some refer to what is "being done to
their hands".

Using the buzz phrase "No chip manicure" is not delivering falsely, I
see nothing wrong with the use of this phrase in conjunction with
SOG's - if you feel your clients are being mislead into an
"enhancement service" and not a simple water manicure, that's all in
how it's presented. If you are distinguishing the two based on prep
vs. NO prep to the natural nail, then I see the point and agree.

Buzz words, key phrases- that's all marketing and how we get someone
in the door. I'm not lying when I say "no chip manicure" in reference
to SOG's. I'm also not sitting someone down and beginning prep on
their nails without them knowing exactly what I'm doing.
