To: [email protected] I think CND has quality products and I have used a lot of them over the 20 yrs I have been doing nails. I have also found that CND is not the only fish in the sea. The biggest thing that turns me off of Creative is their attitude about having to use every single thing they sell. (If you don't then that is why you are having a problem.) I have went to several of their classes over the years and it is always that same thing. If you ask why this would happen the first thing they ask are you using everything Creative. We ask this first because if you are using X liquid, Y powder, and Z brush, we don't have the scientific information or experience to troubleshoot that combination. I would be curious to know if other manufacturers would not be the same way? There are some things that the system is truly important no matter what system you use! There are also a few things that are universal, but not as many as people assume ;o) I am sure this lamp is a good lamp but it is just not fair to tell people they have to go out and buy a brand new one when they have a perfectly good one to use. When I deal with other companies they seem so much more real and honest. Which helps me to trust in their products. When I ordered LE gels they asked what lamp I have and they said great. The Brisa lamp will work just fine. They were mainly concerned that it took 9 watt bulbs. A couple points on this one, if the CND lamp old or new has the highest UV output in the industry, does it make sense that it would cure other products? If the CND lamp has that high UV output in order to cure the CND products that have very low photoinitiators, does it make sense other lamps would undercure CND products? Secondly, if their only concern in your opinion was the bulb wattage, doesn't it make you curious as to what difference the amount of electricity your lamp consumes makes for proper cure of the product? CND also told me that I had to order replacement bulbs from them and pay $52 for a set of three. They said no other bulb would fit in their lamp. I found out from all of you that is just not true. I am not trying to turn you guys against CND. I still use a lot of their stuff. I just don't want anyone to get mislead into spending money you don't need too. Try your 9 watt lamp first and if it doesn't work then purchase CND's. Angie Wingerter From: Holly L. The people that have called me that have used that specific lamp, cured the Shellac using the Shellac step by steps and in that specific lamp with the usual cure times, they were not getting a cure. Ideally, yes you should be using either the Brisa lamp or the new CND lamp to cure Shellac to get a true proper cure as Brisa and Shellac both have very low photoinitiators and require a high UV output to be cured.
