I have not had time to actually go get my nails done yet, however, I have made some calls to friends in town. One, I used to work with during my stint working at the discount salon helping my friend out. This girl now works at a vietnamese salon in town. I asked her if they had this or something similar. She said they had a uv coat like that and also an air dry that seemed like what I was describing. She is going to look at their supply catalog and ask her boss which one it is. I have one of these catalogs, but it is in vietnamese. I will let you know what I find out. I am sure it is purchased in gallon sizes. The clients nails that I saw were not yellowed or dingy at all. It may be a decent product. ...who knows. I would like to have some for P and W customers. I know they buy everything in bulk, unlike most of us booth renting. They purchase in larger sizes. I did the same thing when I owned my salon. 6 busy techs will fly thru product at an alarming rate and you have to buy in larger sizes. Anyhoo. I will keep you posted and as soon as I have time to go myself, I will. Sent from my U.S. Cellular BlackBerry® smartphone

I would be very interested to know what this is too. Can't wait until you go snooping. lol Della In a message dated 6/5/2010 8:48:01 A.M. But, it was very thin over the ac...it took a coarse carbide bit to get it off, my sanding band would not budge it. I may go get a fill at that shop and snoop... Hi ladies, I'd kinda caution before jumping to the "NSS" conclusion. I did an emergency fill on a client once who was referred by one of my nail tech friends, and topped it off with the high-gloss tackless sealer from Nailite. When the client went back to my friend for her next appointment, my friend called me and asked what the heck I'd put on her client, she couldn't get it off (but it was shiny as heck). I told her what it was and she'd never heard of it (she just uses regular top coat polish, like Out the Door). I told her to file it off and she grunted and complained about it...but still asked me if I could get some for her! Now I admit, the HGTS files off pretty easily for me, so this may not be what Heather ran into. But my friend had a little trouble filing it off, and I think it's because she was afraid of putting too much pressure on something other than acrylic. Heather, We had this asked before and many of us have had clients come to us with this on. It is classic chop shop stuff. If I remember correctly, we concluded it was some unknown brand in a brown bottle available from Viet supply houses. I looked at five different places while in Chicago to find it and hit dead ends at each one. When I find out what it is, I will pass along the info as many on here wanted it. But, like all things chop shop, everything is in unmarked jars and is a secret..... I had a new client that came in yesterday for a fill on her flat set of too thick nails :-). They were pink and white tips. The top coat that was on this set was like nothing I have ever seen. It was very hard and very glossy. It did not file off like a gel (and very few nss salons in my area do uv gel, they do french dips and call it gel). I was wondering if anyone has seen this and what it is? I want some of it whatever it is. It was way shinier than any of the uv sealers/topcoats that I have and even shinier and harder than the TT Acoat that I love so much. It was like glass and filed like a fiberglass overlay (you know that real hard to file off with a carbide bit feel?)
