Diana,
I'm just calling it all gel polish. If someone asks for Shellac I show them the
shellac colors then show them my other gel polish colors. None so far have
cared it was shellac or another brand.
I've also been giving away the first application and it works great, they're
hooked.
But the best advertising so far has been grabbing people that usually don't get
their nails done at all and giving them a free mani w/ gel polish. I've got my
phone ringing off the hook for appointments from referrals from these people.
And I'm happy to report that I put gel polish on my cleaning gal and its been
on for two weeks- still perfect! She cleans and does gardening!
Lovin' it!

I did the same thing by giving the clients one free application they fell for
it! I only carry shellac but the way it is right now I won't be able to
continue shellac for much longer. I need soak off polish suggestions please! I
call the soak off gel my 2 week manicure. Everyone loves it.

okay, how r you battling this new service of gel polish? We have gel
polish. one which is a cross of polish and gel. then we have gel
that is colored but is a gel. we have soak off, we have file off.

So far I have only one client that is soak off, will not allow me to
file,have her on Shellac.

The rest of my clients, which totally SURPRISED ME, that have the
soft gel or ac on, are the ones that are falling in love with gel
polish. I have been given the free gel polish application to these
long standing clients, to #1 to teach myself on time issues, and #2
to SPOIL them. And will start charging them an extra 5 bucks
starting next week. I know some of you are saying, why would you
give them away free to your clients? Well so worth the cost, consider
it advertising cost. I didn't have to explain to them the advantages
and try to talk them into it. Just show them!!!!!!90% of them said
they would go for it because of the convenience of the no drying issue!!!!!!!!

I have so many colors and will get more. But some will be soak off
in 10 minutes, some will be soak off in 20 minutes, and some will be
filed off.

For all of you that are carrying both, what are you saying, or
advertising the diff.? Want to start advertising this,to NEW
POTENTIAL customers, but don't know exactly what to call it. Because
so many different service options. On top of their natural nails, on
top of their existing ac or gel. Can't really say soak off, because
all aren't all soak off. Any suggestions? diana from indiana
