Jill,
It is taking me about that long to rough up the surface, wrap with
cotton and foil, remove and buff, push back cuticle and file and
shape natural nails to get ready for new gel polish. It is taking me
at least an hour to an hour and 15 min to complete the service. I
really can't see how everyone is doing these so quickly. I didn't
wipe off the dispersion layer the other day. I just forgot too. I
wonder if it makes a difference. I would not think it would. I did a
french and it did not shink back on me. I am curious to hear what
everyone thinks about the dispersion layer.

This need to remove the dispersion layer is not an issue with the eco
So Quick if you apply the Base really thin. The reason this needs to
be done, is the color is sliding around on the dispersion layer - as
my husband said tonight "like water on oil". By dry wiping it, but
not removing ALL of the dispersion, just the "excess", the slippery
issue is reduced, the colors stay put and don't shrink back.
Jill, if you are putting the top coat on too thick it will take extra
time to soak off. Chances are you are not filing off enough of the
top coat before soaking. eco So Quick was designed to use a regular
quick dry polish top coat - Polish Sealer or your favorite like Seche
Vite or Out the Door. This type of top coat benefits the service for
several reasons. All soak off gels and gel polishes are porous by
nature, the Polish Sealer helps reduce any discoloration. Polish
Sealer drys in 60 seconds, saving you time by not needing that last 2
minute cure. You can also retail the Polish Sealer for home shine touch ups!
