OK, so I hit a snag with the new hybrid uv polish. I tried to soak off the Gelish on 3 clients and it would not budge. I even filed over the surface before wrapping them in acetone and foil. I had to scrape with an orangewood stick and re-wrap repeatedly, which then left flaky white patches on their natural nails....not good when we were aiming for a french.
What the heck is up with that? The only thing I could think of is that I overcured the product maybe? I'm using the foundation, color, then the top it off. I couldn't get the Gelish cd to play in either of our pc's, so I finally had my husband pop it into his X-box, so I just learned that I was supposed to wipe off the foundations tacky dispersment layer....which I had not been doing. Do you think this caused the problem? I'm still making do with my old Pro Finish lamp (five 4 watt bulbs) until I can order an LED light. However, the Shellac soaks off easily and I do the steps the same way as Gelish, but the Shellac is not as durable as the Gelish (at least not on my problem clients). I left a message at Nail Harmony so hopefully someone will call me back in the morning so we can get to the bottom of this. Any of you all experience this?
