Please read the following if you have tipping enabled on your Square
account.... tipping can be turned off in your settings.

"Tipping causes a pending transaction for the payer to be 40% larger than
the amount actually charged.
If you are a Square user that has tipping turned on, our current
infrastructure shows a pending charge on your client's payment card
statement for 40% more then the original charge. As the bank changes the
pending to a final charge, it will change to show the original transaction
amount. As an example, if your client owes you $10.00 and you have tipping
enabled (even if they don't tip you anything) a $4.00 extra pending charge
will show on their bank/credit card statement. After a few days, the $14.00
will change back to the original amount of $10.00 automatically.
This is a feature we are working on to not require the 40% extra add on
during the pending state."
