At the Salon that I work at, we have the front desk call and remind everyone the morning before. It helps a TON! It only takes about 15 minutes and that way if they cant make it we still can fill the appointment during the day.

LOL I'm glad I have the online scheduling now cause it sends a email reminder to all the clients now and if they miss their appointment I ask the "Well didn't you get your reminder?" They have no reasons anymore to say that they forgot all about it. I have had to fire at least 3 this last year for no shows or last minute cancellations, I used to try to charge a rescheduling fee of $15 but that didn't work either, it does state that on the back of my cards though just in case I have to re-enforce this rule. Tis the Season so be fully aware of your clients appointments and just might have to make reminder calls or text messages the night before just to save your books and your pockets!
