Last Year: Hybrid Nails
Griege, gruple, murple (fine, we made that one up), mixed shades were
all the rage. Muted, hybrid nails popped up on runways last spring
and were shortly followed by some major red carpet events. Though
this trend will most likely linger in 2011, it won't be as big of a
deal as it was this past winter when polishes disappeared from the
shelves almost instantly.
This Year: Moon Manis
Trade in those neutral hues for a funky twist on the average
manicure. Moon manis are painted on your nails so that it looks like
a half oval moon is at the base of your nail. From the standard black
and white to textured, glittery moon manis you can expect to see some
serious celestial nail trends in a salon near you.
