Anna and Lynnette,

Anna well said about the client issue.

On the acetone issue, I have been using Eco's soak off remover for all my
soak off services and I have seen much improvement over the acetone only. I
did once accidentally grab my 99% alcohol and I felt so stupid, I kept
telling my client " do you smell alcohol? she looked at me funny. so 6 mins
later I check her nails ah major dumb moment I tell ya but get this the
alcohol started to remove the shellac! ( had used a unlabeled container for
my eco soak off until I ordered a small one for my table top)
I use small rice warmers in my paraffin gloves to heat the product with all
of the soak offs and with in 6 mins they are ready to be peeled and wiped
down.

I guess the filing issue is one for the client and manicurist to decide what
is good for them, when I was learning to use my drill I layered polish in
between acrylic and only filed off the top layer of acrylic and if I hit
the red polish I needed to start over. That way I learned that a little bit
of filing goes a long way.

I am sure I lost one client to improper removal of the shellac. she had
white spots and blamed the product I blamed myself for using a metal cuticle
pusher to " help " the process along. The last time I saw her she insisted I
buffed her nails with a 3 way buffer and haven't seen her since. Since I
have used heat and no removal problems at all.
