Nicole,
I don't see why this is YOUR problem. If she is worried about it then she
can decide not to come to work anymore until the baby is born. I totally agree
with Katherine. It's really the owners problem. Do they really think you should
quit using your acrylic because she is having a baby? I find that pretty funny!
People amaze me more and more everyday! Btw, I have two very healthy children
also. I think I would have to laugh at this little princess when she gives me
the look! Good luck to you.

Angie

Hi Nicole,
I worked during my second pregnancy doing nails and baby boy PJ is just
doing
fantastic!  He is now a very handsome 26 years old, works as a computer
technician and his IQ falls into the "genius" range.  So... so much for THAT
argument!  I asked my OB/GYN about doing nails while pregnant way back then,
and
he said as long as it didn't involve  an aerosol that I would be inhaling
(hairspray anyone?)  that it would be fine.  Have her ask her Dr. and if he has
a concern, she will need a note from the DR!

I'll throw in my 2 cents here. I just delivered my baby last Monday. I did
nails in a salon for the entire pregnancy and the baby is big, happy and
healthy. I had a great pregnancy and smells didn't bother me. Maybe she's got
the super smeller some women get during pregnancy?!? Maybe she could move
stations away from you if the nail smell bothers her that much Aimee St.

She's kind of a flippy little thing, lol. She has it in her head that I can't
do nails anymore because she's pregnant. Now I explained to the manager that
if
go by her logic (that nails smell) then she can no longer do perms or colours
and may as well just quit. > > She hasn't actually said anything to me,
she's
just giving me dirty looks, lol. The manager came to me quietly to ask about
it. Nice kid, but if she's going to be a parent then she needs to grow up:P >

hairstylists. Up to their elbows in perms and colours, and perfectly normal
children. > > Help? Anyone? I am surprised that I've been able to go 14 yrs in
