This is tricky. I do not have much tolerance for stupid, so I would not address her directly. Print out articles about pregnancy and the beauty industry and give them to the owner/manager and let her handle it. Inform the owner/manager that "dirty looks" from a coworker are not acceptable. This is a team issue and needs to be addressed by management to keep the salon running smoothly.
That was my diplomatic answer, now what I really think is that you can't fix stupid and she's a ditz who doesn't like the smell of your acrylic and is just trying to use this as an excuse to make you stop using it. Typical self centered immaturity. It's all about her and what she doesn't like. She doesn't care how you keep a roof over your head or food on your table and never mind that her color and perms smell bad, that doesn't bother her because it's money in her pocket, all she cares about is that SHE doesn't like the smell of your acrylic. Grrrr... Do not get me started, oops, too late, I already erupted. What I would really want to say to her is, "bite me." but what I would actually do is let management handle it.
