OK...I haven't made so many posts in years, hahahaha One of the stylists is pregnant. This is her first baby and not only is she younger, but she's a little "young minded", to be diplomatic. She's kind of a flippy little thing, lol. She has it in her head that I can't do nails anymore because she's pregnant. Now I explained to the manager that if go by her logic (that nails smell) then she can no longer do perms or colours and may as well just quit.
She hasn't actually said anything to me, she's just giving me dirty looks, lol. The manager came to me quietly to ask about it. Nice kid, but if she's going to be a parent then she needs to grow up:P I know truckloads of industry professionals with herds of children that worked in salons during their pregnancies and not one of their kids popped out of the chute looking like batboy from the World Examiner tabloid. Same goes for hairstylists. Up to their elbows in perms and colours, and perfectly normal children. Help? Anyone? I am surprised that I've been able to go 14 yrs in this industry before having to deal with this.
