Your pricing structure seems fair....but you will have LOTS of conversations
about when the last time each client was there!!  You will need to take a few
minutes each morning and jot down the dates of each clients' last appointment,
and be prepared to prove it.  Several will argue with you! And as other are
saying, be prepared for them to scramble to come in 2 weeks and 6 days later!
I
don't know...if I were aware enough--maybe let them leave me messages, and then
take the time to look up their last, I wouldn't let them book it that way...I'd
push them ahead that one day and get the surcharge.

I'm quite interested in this thread...I now have NO clientele to speak
of....having moved across country!  lol And the owners of my new salon launched
a groupon...and I'm dealing with utter chaos!

When I HAD my own clientele, I did NOT make a big fuss over raising my
prices....I always raised something the 1st of November.  And I spread it
out...one year facials, one year nails, the next year natural nails, etc.  My
dentist always just told me what I owed...so that was my strategy, too.

Subject: Re: NailTech:: Appointment Stretching

I did this type of pricing when I did acrylics. I didnt keep that up when I
switched everyone to gel. I wish I would have. People are really stretching
thier appt with the gel because the gel polish stays shiny and doesn't show any
wear on the tips. I too am going to change my prices. I have a client that
comes
every week, half of them come every two weeks and the other half every three,
four or longer. Maybe this will give you some ideas. I am thinking off wording
it something like this...

Rebalance (includes gel polish)

1 week-$29.00 (includes any repairs)
2 week-$32.00 (includes 2 repairs)
3 week-$35.00 (includes 2 repairs)
4 week-$38.00 (not recommended, no repairs included)
Repairs with a rebalance- add $2 each
OVER 5 WEEKS WILL BE CONSIDERED A FULL SET

Curious to hear others opinions on this.
