Diana,
I have used dollar nail art foils and Martha Stewart foils on
shellac nails...both work equally as well. If you have tried the
wrong side of the foil...and then tried the right side on the same
nail...most of the sticky will be gone and you will have to use some
adhesive! Maybe you kept trying, which is what I did to start, and
it just wasn't sticky anymore. I actually had to write it down
because I couldn't frigging remember which side to use...my clients
crack up at my "non memory" moments! So it is NON colored side
down...I usually use 3 colors...I tap one in random spots...2 nd in
other random spots...by the time I do the third..I need some
adhesive because it isn't sticking anymore.... Hope this helps...
You can get the adhesive free with purchase of x amount of foils
from dollarnailart.com...

Thanks guys. I did the tap tap, and it just wouldn't work. I think the foil
from Martha Stewart is too thick, so will take your advice and try dollar
nail art.
And in Orlando, she just did it over the gel sticky layer then the top coat.
So no adhesive glue. Will check out the videos.......thanks guys will let
you know. diana from indiana

Duh Diana moment here. When I went to the Orlando show. Creative was
showing their new additives and she was using transfer foil
She had small little squares that she said she cut up, she then kind
of krinkled it up and just taped it on the nail (cured and sticky
layer still on).
It was toooooooooooooooooooooo cool and awesome and so about ME
because I have zero artist in me!!!!! hehehe
So that weekend I went everywhere and searched for transfer foil, none
to be found. So went to Michaels last week and found Martha Stewart
transfer foil and bought one to test out.
Well, it doesn't work. What the hell?? Well first of all, silver down
or up? Looks like silver down, color up?????????? But it would
transfer. Is this brand tooo thick? I thought craft transfer foil was
the same as our foil?
Anyhelp I would appreciate, because it is a quick way to make your
clients think that you know what you are doing and you are
soooooooooooo special!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahah diana from indiana
