Diana, I have used dollar nail art foils and Martha Stewart foils on shellac nails...both work equally as well. If you have tried the wrong side of the foil...and then tried the right side on the same nail...most of the sticky will be gone and you will have to use some adhesive! Maybe you kept trying, which is what I did to start, and it just wasn't sticky anymore. I actually had to write it down because I couldn't frigging remember which side to use...my clients crack up at my "non memory" moments! So it is NON colored side down...I usually use 3 colors...I tap one in random spots...2 nd in other random spots...by the time I do the third..I need some adhesive because it isn't sticking anymore....
