You can find a lot of good information regarding synthetic rigging at a Yahoo Group called "F boats." (Farrier trimarans) Also, find an internet site called "precourt." You'll learn about spectra rigging at those sites. I use high mol. wt. poly. for my halyards and for my spinnaker pole bridle lines. Good stuff! I also use it for suspension lines on a righting system I invented. One Ninth the weight of equivilant steel cable.
