I just wanted to opine here that when you setup a network to share your internet connection, it is your responsibility. (Not speaking as a person who is afraid of catching something from you, because MY systems are beyond secure... but speaking as a fellow citizen of the internet). You need to secure your wi-fi. The FBI will not be interested in your excuses that it was not secure when they kick your door for all of the nefarious deeds that were perpetrated on your account. You are ESPECIALLY responsible for your children's machines. It should not be possible for a kid to get a virus, because their system should ALREADY be locked down to the teeth to keep them from accidentally (or purposefully) stumbling into pornography. Your wife? Your roommate? Take some responsibility as network administrator.

YOU may not get a virus, but what about the person next door riding your wifi, you wife, kid in the other room, room mate, etc.
