I'm not too worried about a hang condition; if it happens I'll just power-cycle. This particular board has been running for a few months now, with no problems. Not continuous running because I've had to remove power, but it's never shown any hint of flakiness even when it ran continuously for several weeks at a time.
After some further reading, it appears microSD cards do implement wear-leveling. I just have to hope that the OS doesn't do a lot of file I/o when it's mostly idle. I'll probably just take my chances with dumping a local logfile every few days, and pulling a copy to my fileserver. Right now I have to build the case, which is probably the most time-consuming phase of the entire project. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
