Whats the input voltage? I would recommend looking at LT3750 l LT3751. They have a refernce design for a 300V 6A capacitor charger (can be modified to nixie supply) and also there is a 500V, 150mA flyback design, which could be modified.I think going flyback is the best version. Of course one also could build an isolated mains supply.
