is there a way i can send a tone into my series II without having to go through
a channel strip with panpot which would allow me to measure the output of the
2mix more accurately?........or can i do this.......send a tone into the
channel strip, crank the panpot all the way to the left, adjust level to read
zero, measure the output, and adjust level to read 1.25 V (0VU) then readjust
meter with trimpot on the back of the meter......do the same for the right
side........make sense?......

it is not the 2 mix trim pots.......how do you make sure a channel is not
feeding the 2mix?.......how would you send a tone through the board to yr. tape
machine if it was not feeding the 2mix?......

On some of the consoles there is an adjustment for the 2 mix buss. They are
2 knobs right above the solo, mute in place, mono logic switches. Maybe this
might be it. All so make sure that the channels are not feeding the 2 mix as a
L/R pan would pose a difference.

Good Luck,
