The client connects fine and will scan any IP of the local subnet. However when I key in an IP of my outside network it will not scan. It just sits there and than goes to 100%. I click view report and it says no report is available. I an ping and tracert to the IP I'm tring to scan from my nessus box.
I'll take a look at the nessus.log file. Where is this located. I did the install from lynx -source http://install.nessus.org | sh and it installed in /usr/local/sbin -- at least that is where the nessusd command is. ~Jonathan -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of George A. When you say the nessus server does nothing, do you mean you're using something like strace or truss and the client connection is never made? Or do you instead mean that the client *appears* to do nothing? Does anything appear in the Nessus logs (nessusd.messages or nessusd.dump)? Also, how are you specifying the targets? If by hostname, can they be resolved from the nessusd host itself?
