Looks like SF rejected my zip file, but Bruce should have a copy it.

I've completed the work on a Solaris packaging script (actually 2 of them.) There will be a documentation change, but not more than a couple paragraphs, and possibly a solaris directory under dist (or that's where I'd put it anyway.) The package script does just that, take a compiled net-snmp and builds a package for it. It doesn't make any changes to any existing files (except for the README.solaris, which I haven't touched yet.)

If you want in the next release, I'm happy with that. if you want to hold off, I've got what I need, so I'm happy with that also. Here's the files:

<solarisbuild.zip>

There's a couple variables that I'd like to see pulled into the build-solaris-package file from configure. It also assumes that you use the same prefix and exec_prefix in configure . Other than that, it should work fine. The scripts do assume that they're in a subdirectory 2 levels below the main build directory, if that's not correct, we'll need to change some ../..'s

If you want any changes, please let me know.

So if I understand correctly, I just found a bug in the README.solaris
(incorrect patch number).

Because it's documentation, I can probably squeeze that in to 5.2 - right?

We're close to a resolution on making packages for Solaris. That's a little
too drastic for 5.2 documentation - right?
