Past experience has shown me that I doubt it would help.  I'd likely
expect the same set to be active and I doubt we'd get an increase in
participation; but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try and I wouldn't
object at all to going that route.

What do they do for other components with differing version numbers (if
I had time I'd go look for an example to look up but I can't think of
one off the top of my head; KDE is the quickest I can think of which has
a bunch of libkde* of different versions).
