To answer my own question - the 5.2.5.pre1 tarball
actually contains the current development trunk code.

The quickest way to see this is to look at the contents
of  agent/mibgroup/hardware.   This shouldn't exist on
the 5.2.x line, and should just contain 'cpu' and 'memory'
on the 5.4.x line.

 But the 5.2.5.pre1 tarball contains 'cpu', 'memory', 'fsys'
and 'sensors'.   Time for a new tarball, methinks....
