Hi Robert,

The proxy support configurable through snmpd.conf works for snmp forwarding
(correct me if I am wrong).
But in my case I need to make some proprietary library call to remote NE to
obtain value for the object instances.

Below is a portion from my original mail -
'Essentially my requirement is that whenever a get, get-next or get-bulk
request is received at my sub-agent, I want to make a propietary call to my
NE to obtain the value for the oid(s).
How can I use any skeleton code (with help from any .conf file) for this
purpose? I explored using mib2c.iterate-access.conf and
mib2c.array-user.conf but did not get convincing results.'

Regards
Viren

Why not just use proxy support? (see snmpd.conf man page).

You are lost in a twisty maze of little standards, all different.
