As far as I can tell, I can only use the context idea if I am using snmp v3
clients, is this correct?

If so I can't go down that road because some clients of mine refuse to upgrade
their snmp clients to ones that support SNMPv3.

I am pretty well stuck here...does anyone have any other opinions?

I was thinking that I could start a new snmpd for each virtual interface (using
snmpd virtualip:161). This works but my agentx subagent will only respond to a
query on one ip (the last one started I guess). Is there a way to register a
subagent (or handler function in my current subagent) to a certain copy of snmpd
that is running?
